i don't think there's anything more fun than using night vision goggles and/or telescopes. you can have a lot of fun with night vision goggles even if you're not using them for recreational purposes. you can see all sorts of stuff while it's pitch black outside, and it's pretty exciting! i also love using telescopes. my uncle ronnie has this really expensive telescope where you can see all sorts of constellations and stars...even planets! i love astronomy, so using a telescope is pretty exciting to me. i found this website, opticplanets.net, that offers all sorts of optical instruments. binoculars, monoculars, telescopes, microscopes, even heat seekers like the ones you use on video games. i didn't know just anybody could buy this stuff; i figured it was only for the military or something. check this out...they have microscopes! i think the geek in everyone loves microscopes. it is honestly fascinating to look through a microscope to see all the things you've been learning about in biology- all the cells and parts of the cell and stuff. if you're ever camping and you're worried about getting lost, you might want to check into getting a handheld GPS, because compasses are so yesterday. i don't hunt, but a lot of the things on this site could be used not just for science stuff but for hunters, too (and everyone knows there's an abundance of those here in south georgia). this site offers a holiday gift guide to help anybody find the perfect gift. the stuff opticsplanet.net supplies is name-brand, and get this- they provide FREE UPS SHIPPING on orders over $29.95! wow! check out this site. =D
look at this. here's another piece of this puzzle for a contest that payperpost, the one-of-a-kind blog marketing site, is sponsoring. apparently, it has something to do with payperpostbluemonster. not sure what it is exactly, but they've been talking about it for weeks now. stop the suspense! just tell us what's up! the first person who posts all the pieces of this puzzle together correctly wins $500. becca, we really do need to get together to work on this puzzle...i think all the pieces have been posted!

payperpost has another puzzle for your blog...apparently, there's some more big news coming our way again! i wonder what it could be? last time, the first person who assembled the puzzle correctly got $1000, the lucky dog. this time, it's $500. i really wish i were good at puzzles! oh well, either way, i'm still excited to hear what the news is this time! these guys just keep getting better and better with their blog marketing business.

i LOVE coupons. i've been clipping them for years; it's ridiculous, i know, but if i know i can save a buck by entering a code or handing over a slip of paper, why not? i especially love online sites that give you discount codes for online stores, like couponchief.com. i found coupons for the online stores of old navy, ebags.com, and delia's, just to name a few. i like to use these discount codes when i buy stuff online...i usually save at least $10 or so, and hey, every buck you save is always a good thing. save some money, and use these free codes. the coupon chief's got anything you can think of.

december nears, and as it comes, so does my need for furniture. i can't wait to have my own place. i know i've been saying this all the time, but it's so true. i'm super excited to have my own furniture as well. i've been paying special attention to Living Room Furniture. i still need a couch (preferably a sleeper sofa), a chair, 2 end tables, a coffee table, and a kitchen table and chairs. it's a lot, but it's what i need. it's kind of scary to buy your own stuff...how do you know if you're getting jipped or getting a good price? what's the best type of furniture? furniture.biz has all the answers you need. check it out.
halloween is right around the corner! i'm terribly excited about the whole thing, and in fact, i've taken to decorating for the festive occasion. i've even spruced up my laptop a bit in doing so with wallpapers and screensavers and such. i went to find some Free Halloween Screensavers online and lo and behold, screensavers.com had just what i wanted. they offer free, SAFE (unlike MANY things nowadays that you can download!), and easy-to-download screensavers for your PC. they have fun, creative halloween stuff, whether you're looking for cute halloween (a real photo of a black kitten sitting on a pumpkin, precious!) or spooky stuff (a 3D haunted house screensaver!), screensavers.com has got it. i chose the neatest background image of a jack-o-lantern with various pumpkins behind it. it looks like a professionally-taken picture. it's a glowy, orange color, and it makes me so ready for halloween. check this site out!

hey, look, that's me. a skinny, pretty version of me, at least. i love making dolls, especially when i'm bored. they've got so many clothes and looks to try, they're almost like a virtual barbie doll. do you remember that chat program called the palace? i used to go on there before there were doll sites like this just so i could make dolls. i'd collect clothes, trade clothes, add to my collection, whatever. it's very addictive stuff. i used to make dolls of the people i knew. alicia, i even did one of you once, back when i knew you as "the monkey chick." lol. i'll show it to you if i haven't already.
these Dress Up Games and Dollmakers are so much fun to me. you can spend hours upon hours dressing up and customizing your doll. there are tons of motifs to choose from...even mermaids. i think i'll make one of those in a bit. ;) these dolls are fun to post on your blog or to use as avatars in forums and chatrooms. a lot of people are starting to post them on their myspace pages, too. the next time you've got some time to spare and want to entertain yourself, give the dollmaker a try.

video phones have been around for a few years but haven't really hit the spotlight until recently. the video capability has been integrated into many newer cell phones, allowing users to take clips of their life on the road. i have a video phone, and let me tell you, it's come in handy for times when i wanted to make a video but didn't have my digital camera with me. it's kind of funny how something that used to be such a luxury is now in almost every cell phone on the market today.

today i was looking at different phone company sites, and i recalled those Vonage ads from tv (y'know...woo-hoo, woohoohooo. woo-hooo, woohoohoo). so i looked up their site on google, and in the process, i found the vonage voip foums, an independently run site where vonage users come to discuss the services and such. i decided to be nosy and check out the forums to see what i could find. i think it's FANTASTIC that some people actually took the time to put this site together...forums always come in handy during troublesome tech times. i especially like to check out forums before i ever call the company to find out what's wrong. by checking out the forums, i can see if i'm not the only person who's got a certain question or problem, and i can help others out when they have questions or issues. i think it's great there are forums out there for vonage users so they can communicate with each other over vonage issues.
